Baggage Reconciliation Systems such as UltraTrak, BagManager and BagMatch are used to match passengers to their bags and track their bags throughout the airport. This enables rapid identification of bags belonging to ‘no-show’ passengers and saves potential delays to the aircraft departure while the bag is being off-loaded.

ESP’s extensive experience of the airport environment has been successfully applied to the support of Baggage Reconciliation hardware in major airports. The solution is however very different as the hardware in the baggage handling environment is, by the very nature of the work carried out, exposed to extremes of climate and frequent mechanical shock.  The turn over is consequently large. 

This introduces a logistical problem because whilst the hardware is the same for all users, the location and quantities vary significantly. ESP has developed bespoke tools that address these fundamental issues by constantly updating the numbers of HHSD’s held by each handler and tracking their locations whether with a handler, held as a spare or at repair.
