Installations, moves, additions, changes and disposal – IMACD

Installations, moves, additions, changes and disposal are vital support services for any IT organisation and the concept applies equally to a single monitor swap to the phased refresh of all check-in equipment in an airport.

ESP believe that it is fundamental to provide the correct level of expertise initially to scope any project and determine the technical requirements and level of complexity of the task to be undertaken.

It is only then that a plan can be produced utilising staff with the skill sets which will ensure that they are able to work independently or in teams as required to achieve the project objectives within the required timescales whilst keeping the level of customer management involvement to a minimum.

ESP can demonstrate from our current contracts and past experience with major roll-out activities our ability to successfully manage complex projects to time and within budget.
By adopting the approach given above the customer would typically provide the initial resource to scope the project and agree the project plan. Thereafter they would only be required to monitor progress and assist with intransigent and unforeseen issues, the lead and management responsibility would reside with the ESP Project Manager.
Typical stages would be:

Interface with the customer to explore in depth the technical requirements of each IMACD project to determine the skill sets required from the resource allocated to carry out the work.
Determine the timescales required and the optimum hours on the site when the activity can be carried out.
Produce and agree a Project Plan for the IMACD project, allocating the required staff with the required skill set from the ESP engineering workforce.
For major projects the ESP’s Project Manager would personally manage the ESP resource co-ordinating with any third party contractors as required. Typically the ESP Project Manager would be recognised as the lead authority as the end result will be dependent on the ESP resource completing the activity.
Collation, removal and disposal of all unwanted assets are carried out strictly to the conditions set out by the WEEE directive.
