ESP Global Services are currently recruiting an Airport Engineer to join ESP at Dublin Airport.  You will work as part of the ESP Global Services team to provide on-site support for all components of the airport passenger processing system within agreed contractual service level agreements at Dublin Airport. We pride ourselves on our customer service, you will ensure a consistent and high level of customer service is provided to the customer first time every time whilst continuing to build relationships with all key stakeholders and departmental areas.

What does the role of Airport Engineer involve? 

•Carry out regular routine and preventative maintenance as well as "floor-walking" on the range of IT equipment that is used to process passengers within the airport

•Respond to customer incidents assigned by the Local and Global Service Desks and successfully resolve within agreed SLAs. The calls received by the service desks will be logged in the LANDesk ticket management tool.  

•Fault Diagnosis carry out full troubleshooting of hardware/ software problems using knowledge and tools as per training, procedures and documentation provided

Escalate for additional support using the escalation procedure for assistance across our expert teams

•Spares management is required to ensure accuracy on volumes, locations and availability of parts used and to update the Asset Tracker

Please note- as the role is based on site at an airport, upon job offer it is necessary for ESP to carry out background checks which include; 5 year working history background check and confirmation that individual has resided consistently in the *Ireland* for 5 years. Please only apply if the above is feasible.

What Competencies/ previous experience do you need to have to be considered for the role of Airport Engineer?

•Good knowledge and experience in IT hardware and the ability to install and troubleshoot printers/ scanners/ peripherals etc

•1-2 years' experience working in a customer facing IT support role, preferably in a Field/ Deskside engineer role

•Strong diagnostics and trouble shooting skills

•Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Full Driving Licence

Working hours;

4 days on, 4 days rest. (Shifts run Monday – Sunday)

Shift times will be 2 days 7am – 7pm and 2 days of 7pm – 7am
