Credit Controller, Reading

Reporting into the Finance Controller, successful candidates will have a proven track record of managing all aspects of credit control within a complex, multi-currency international business. This role will be working part time hours Monday – Friday 9:30am – 2:30pm

We are looking for people who are passionate about finance and increasing their existing knowledge.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are correctly allocated and posted on the sales ledger
  • Monitoring account balances to ensure they are collected within agreed customer terms
  • Chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales
  • Pro-actively maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure that all debts are managed and minimised
  • Assisting with raising sales invoices and credit notes when needed
  • Onboarding new suppliers, ensuring that thorough credit and compliance checks are completed, and suppliers are accurately set up on the system
  • Reconciling Invoice Financing accounts
  • Producing meaningful management reporting information and supporting commentary

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as a credit control professional, preferably with a global remit / multi-currency complex environment with large corporate customers
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient with Pivot tables and Vlookups
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferable
  • Excellent communication skills and confident communicating up to exec level
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive and well-organised – able to prioritise workload efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to adapt in a changing business environment
