Desktop Support Engineer - Hong Kong

As the Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain continuity of services for all desktop devices for the customer as well as provision new starter employees with corporate supplied software and hardware.

We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

  • Lead country stores retail infrastructure / project executions
  • Partner and work closely with SME’s/Solution Architects/functional business users for the deliverables
  • Act as a business liaison with Business and translate the retail business requirements into IT requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and projects to ensure timely deployments
  • IMAC Support – Retail IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change
  • Track and resolve customer incidents and requests through the ServiceNow ticketing tool
  • Shipping, receiving and disposal of Retail IT equipment’s i.e. POS, Scanner & printers.
  • Smart Hands support to assist other support groups such as networking, server and telecommunication teams
  • Engage and work with third-party vendors as required for the projects
  • Partner and work closely with local business team

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years of experience in Retail Domain
  • Min of 3 years’ experience in IT project delivery and minimum 5 years of work experience
  • Windows hardware and software troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Ability to do in-depth research and troubleshooting for complex technical issues
  • Ability to complete all work tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize workload
  • Experience supporting Windows based Retail OS & applications, Cashdrawer, Video camera equipment, printers and the following PC hardware manufactures: HP.
  • Basic understanding and troubleshooting of Camera, LAN and WAN infrastructure, including on-site servers, WAPs, switches, routers.
  • High level of flexibility and the ability to positively respond to changes in work requirements
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Willingness and skills necessary to determine the solution & root cause of issue
  • Remote troubleshooting experience

This role will be working Monday – Friday 9am-6pm
