Office Assistant- Part Time-Reading 

We have a part time Office Assistant role available at our Headquarters in Reading. The role is a combination of a range of administrative duties and day to day activities that support the daily running of our office. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 5 hours a day, we require the individual to start their working day at 0830 with their day ending at 1330 (we can be flexible on start and end time as long as the AM is effectively covered). We are looking for an organised, self-motivated individual who enjoys being in a busy role!

What does the role of Office Assistant involve?

You will be based at the Reading HQ, reporting into the Office Manager. Your role will be to support the day to day services and processes that keep our office running. 

•Order stationery as required and monitor stock levels for all office supplies.

•Purchase kitchen / bathroom materials ensuring stock levels are maintained.

•Purchase provisions and restock the Reading staff tuck shop and other kitchen supplies, ensuring that it is adequately stocked at all times.

•Arrange external catering for any internal or customer meetings as required

•Set up meeting rooms for any external customer meetings ensuring that a positive impression is given to all external visitors.

•Post – receive and distribute the post each day and ensure the outgoing post is franked and ready for daily collection.

•Complete daily kitchen duties including emptying and reloading the dishwasher, cleaning the coffee machines and ensuring that both kitchens are kept clean and tidy 

•Replenish the paper in the photocopiers on a daily basis and empty the office shredder & office paper recycling bins, ensuring that confidential waste is collected and disposed of correctly.

•Undertake any photocopying, laminating or binding as requested.

•Assist with answering the main Company phone line and redirecting calls as appropriate.

•Assist with administration of the Fleet, sending out vehicle checklists and updating spreadsheets for fuel card prices and usage

•Assist with administration regarding health & safety and training

•Willingness to take on ad hoc projects when requested

What Competencies/ previous experience do you need to have to be considered?

* Experience required in an office based administrative role that is customer facing 

* Good written and numerical skills

* Good Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* Good empathy and diplomacy skills
