Payroll & Benefits Specialist, Reading

ESP Global Services are currently recruiting a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join the HR team based in our Reading Head Office. We directly employ c.450 people in 20 countries around the globe and, working with our in-country external payroll providers and internal Finance team, you will be responsible for proactively ensuring that all payrolls are processed accurately.  In addition, you will manage the administration of all benefits liaising with benefits providers in multiple countries.  You will be an integral part of our friendly HR team which also includes Generalist HR and Talent Acquisition and will report to the HR Manager.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, has a real eye for the detail and relishes the opportunity to embrace new challenges.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

  • Act as the main interface and manage the relationships with ESP’s external payroll bureaus, ensuring all changes are accurately captured, updated and processed in payroll each month
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Finance Team to ensure all payroll / benefits payments are made on time
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee queries relating to payroll or benefits
  • Coordinate the annual pay review process
  • Manage the monthly pension submissions for UK, Ireland & Netherlands
  • Undertake the administration of all benefits in all counties on a day-to-day basis and manage the relationship with external benefits providers, including annual benefits renewals
  • Co-ordinate the implementation and promotion of any new benefits / benefits-related HR projects or initiatives
  • Document and regularly review and update the employment cost calculators for each country ensuring all benefits / payroll costs are accurately captured

What are we looking for?

  • At least 5 years’ international payroll and benefits experience
  • Highly organised with confidence and ability to work under own initiative
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel / Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical & numerical skills
  • Proficient using HR Systems (we currently use Cascade HR) and Payroll systems
  • Demonstrable customer service ethos
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder management skills
