Talent Acquisition Manager, Reading, Berkshire

Overview

Are you looking for your next talent acquisition challenge?  We are a successful and expanding international IT Services company looking to hire an experienced and creative Talent Acquisition Manager who is passionate about the candidate experience and promoting our employer brand. Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage all recruitment activity across the company, supported by a Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Our aim is to recruit directly wherever possible and we’re looking for candidates who have a track record in using a multitude of creative and innovative cost effective direct hiring methods.  Alongside day-to-day recruitment, you will also have proven experience in project recruitment activity within tight timescales.
 

What does the role involve?

  • Developing and implementing a strategy for attracting quality candidates and minimising time to fill performance
  • Leading and managing the 360 recruitment activity including advertising, sourcing, selection, interview participation, job offer management and liaising with HR for onboarding
  • Proactively sourcing and identifying strong candidates using a variety of methods including job boards, LinkedIn, career fairs and social media
  • Creating compelling job adverts / attraction content for our careers website as well as modifying and reviewing job descriptions for existing and new roles
  • Partnering with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, providing regular updates and working creatively and flexibly to ensure that progress stays on track
  • Identifying credible international job boards and agencies to support our international expansion, negotiating and agreeing rates as appropriate
  • Evolving key resourcing metrics in order to produce monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • Supporting succession planning initiatives within the company to maximise internal promotion opportunities for rising talent
  • Working with the HR Director to develop a new competency framework which supports the company’s strategic plan, mission and values and embedding it in to the selection process
  • Line management of the Talent Acquisition Specialist


What Competencies/ Previous experience do you need to be considered?

  • 5+ years’ in-house experience of identifying and sourcing candidates at an international level using a variety of methods and conducting selection and assessment processes
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience of managing external recruitment agencies
  • Line management experience
  • Experience of using psychometric testing and devising assessment centres
  • Proven experience of managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Driven and motivated to meet recruitment targets and act with appropriate initiative
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Creative thinking and ability to think outside the box
     

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, core hours of 0900- 1730
