On Saturday 15th July, nine enthusiastic ladies from the ESP team took part in the Pretty Muddy event in Reading for Cancer Research UK, donning their pink sweatbands for 5km of mud, obstacles and plenty of fun.
Pretty Muddy is a 5km obstacle course that consists of everything from an A-frame and tyre runs to a mud pit and army nets – everything you want to encounter on a Saturday morning after a long week at work! The team took charge of all the fundraising efforts and organising the event, and even did a fabulous job of keeping huge smiles on their faces throughout the gruelling course – even when things got particularly messy on the pink inflatable mud slide.
The team may have ended up soggy, tired and more brown than pink, but it was worth it. All in all, they raised £1,079 for Cancer Research UK, which we think is something to be pretty proud of! We hope that the money will make a difference, even if it is just a small help.
This is not the first time members of the ESP team have pushed themselves in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK: in June, one of our account managers, Jeremy Newell, took part in white collar boxing for the charity. We are delighted to support such an incredible charity – especially when the events involve our team getting taken through their paces!
