About the Role As a Sales Account Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our existing ESP Outsourcing base. Your mission will be to secure incremental revenue, lead and manage the business tender process, and develop compelling bids that win contracts. You’ll also support the Customer Success team in onboarding and development of large accounts, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Opportunities: Proactively research and identify new sales opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients to position ESP as the go-to provider for outsourced IT infrastructure and support solutions.
  • Sales Planning: Maintain and execute quarterly and annual sales plans to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Opportunity Qualification: Thoroughly scope customer requirements and qualify opportunities before involving the Bids & Pricing team.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve quarterly revenue targets to drive ESP’s annual growth.
  • Bid Management: Organize and produce fully compliant RFP responses, adhering to company standards and pricing requirements.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate success rates and conversions, maintaining the CRM system for status reporting to the Sales Leadership Team.
  • Bid Review: Conduct formal bid reviews to ensure all aspects of the bids are communicated to stakeholders and necessary support is identified.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with relevant departments to assess opportunities and incorporate feedback into submissions.
  • Documentation: Complete and submit required documentation within the specified timescales.
  • Bid Information Library: Continuously enhance the bid information library for company-wide use.
  • Presentation Preparation: Ensure all presentations are rehearsed and participants are briefed to maximize conversion rates.
  • Lead Negotiator: Act as the lead negotiator and presenter for bids, ensuring all relevant departments contribute as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT account management, with a proven track record in selling to ITOs, SIs, and through various channels.
  • Industry credibility: Excellent knowledge of IT Managed Services, Lifecycle Services, Desktop EUC, and Service Desk.
  • Sales Expertise: Strong ability to generate opportunities and manage the full sales lifecycle to contract award.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
  • Other Requirements: This role is office-based and involves some travel.
